About the Project


Context


Investor Match AI is a SaaS product designed to revolutionize the way founders and funders connect in the world of investment. This case study explores the design process and the user experience journey behind creating this innovative platform.

Problem


The existing user experience of Investor Match AI is plagued by overwhelming questions and excessive information, leading to user frustration and incomplete profiles. Users struggle to navigate through unclear directions and encounter difficulties in providing essential information.

Hypothesis

Users encounter difficulties and confusion when faced with an overwhelming number of questionnaires, leading to abandoned accounts and low-quality matches.

Goal

Create a seamless experience that simplifies the traditionally complex and time-consuming task of finding the right investment opportunity or investor.

Target Users

Roomeasy targets three key user groups including startup founders, and funders seeking to invest or to be invested in business. The platform will help to connect users seamlessly to create new opportunities.

After conducting extensive market and user research, I have identified strategic ways to harness and leverage data to increase efficiency and reduce costs for users, resulting in a more streamlined and effortless experience.

We utilized quick sketches as a brainstorming technique to explore a range of possibilities and ideas, leveraging our previous research findings as a foundation. These sketches allowed us to visualize potential design solutions and generate innovative concepts in a rapid and iterative manner.

After building the low-fidelity wireframes, we actively sought feedback from our users to ensure that our design solutions aligned with their needs and expectations. This iterative process allowed us to gather valuable insights and identify areas for improvement. We then transitioned to developing high-fidelity wireframes, which provided a more detailed and polished representation of the final product.

Reflection

The project provided valuable experience in cross-collaboration with stakeholders, facilitating the development of new features aligned with user needs. Gathering feedback from users through usability tests and iterative design resulted in substantial product improvements. The process emphasized the importance of user-centric design and achieved positive impact on the product.

Some Challenges

Time difference

One of the challenges faced during this project was coordinating with a globally distributed team across different time zones. This required strategic scheduling, communication, and flexibility to ensure effective collaboration. We implemented strategies such as clear communication channels, regular weekly team meetings accommodating various time zones, and leveraging technology for real-time communication. By embracing flexibility and efficient communication practices, we successfully navigated the challenge of different time zones, enabling seamless teamwork and progress on the project.

If I had more time…

Given more time, conducting more thorough research on the funders' side would be a priority. This would involve gathering more insights through user interviews, surveys, and data analysis to develop deeper understanding and targeted functionalities on the funder side of the platform. Overall, by dedicating additional time to in-depth research on the funders' side, I could provide a more comprehensive and valuable experience for both founders and funders, fostering stronger connections and facilitating successful investments.
